A trip down along the legendary Route 40 to the south, to reach the region called Comarca Andina del Paralelo 42 (Andean Region of Parallel 42°)
Driving southwards alongside three of the most beautiful lakes in the Patagonian lake district: lakes Gutiérrez, Mascardi and Guillelmo, crossing Pampa del Toro and through the Cañadon de la Mosca, you get to El Bolson, nestled in the valley at the foot of Mount Piltriquitrón to the east and Cordón Nevado to the west, on the banks of the Quemquemtreu River. The special microclimate of the region encourages the growth of hop and red fruits preserving the full potential of their flavour and is referred to as the National Capital of Fine Fruits. El Bolson Village is also known for its Artisan Market which, with more than 300 artisans, is dedicated to a diverse selection of handcrafted art, decoration, ornamental staffs, and their delicious marmalades industry, knives and candles as well as cheeses and home brewed beer. Finally, the tour will continue on to the lake Puelo, where we will see incredible turquoise waters reflecting green imagines of woods, blue skies, and snow covered mountain peaks. Return to Bariloche.
